(In progress): Sort form fiction pieces for created characters

Hello! My name is Asher Tures (any/all), an undergraduate senior with a major is in Art History with a minor in AI Science and Philosophy. My aim is to further the range of disability studies in the scope of art history and museum studies, with a specific focus on assistive technologies in an age of expanded focus on machine learning.

I am a president of one of the queer organizations on campus, Ascend, as well as working with Black Ring Broadcast, the campus podcasting service, in my spare time. I also enjoy being an Orientation and Legacy Leader, as well as a tutor at the school’s Center for Digital and Visual Literacy and CISAW Makerspace. Finally, I advocate for a better understanding of disability and accessibility on campus

My out-of-school extracurriculars involve making woven and bead bracelets, reading new scholarship on disability studies and marginalized art, photography, drawing, and my original concept characters.

From a young age, I have witnessed the effects of inaccessible structures and attitudes, and the way it affects life for loved ones and for myself. As a result, I have made it my mission to address these problems: to give them the coverage they deserve, and to disseminate information that allows for  accessible practice to become the norm.
